At the completion of this one hour webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the FAR provisions which apply to DCAA access to contractor records
  • Locate and obtain the DOD-IG Fraud Awareness Handbook
  • Identify the regulatory requirements pertaining to contractor time reporting and labor charging
  • Locate and obtain DCAA audit policies applicable to Differentiate DCAA floor-checks from DCAA interviews of contractor employees
  • Determine the appropriate labor charging (time charge) for employee’s participating in DCAA floor-checks

During the webinar, your faculty will explain DCAA’s rationale for doing floor-checks, the limited contractual clause related to time charging juxtaposed against the extremely broad scope of DCAA’s floor-checks and why there is a continuing debate in terms of DCAA’s contractual rights (or lack thereof) to access to employees. Additionally, we will offer our opinions and rationale for not allowing DCAA to ask certain questions on their newest and all-expansive list of floor-check questions as well as the implications of denial of access (DCAA’s likely interpretation that not allowing certain questions constitutes denial of access to contractor records).
