Overview

This comprehensive course will provide attendees with an understanding of the Federal contract requirement for the use of commercial products and services, as well as documentation necessary to support compliance. Participants will gain insight into the regulatory landscape that drives these expectations, with a focus on the applicable FAR provisions and recent updates. The course will address the steps and documentation necessary to support commercial item determinations, dispel common myths and misconceptions, and provide practical tools for conducting effective market research. Attendees will also explore the roles and responsibilities of buyers, suppliers, and contracting officers in the commerciality process and learn how to navigate the often-challenging process of securing agreement on a commercial item designation.
