Erin Roberts

Senior Managing Consultant

Erin Roberts is a Senior Managing Consultant in the Compliance Consulting group with Redstone Government Consulting, Inc. (Redstone GCI). She brings more than 15 years of experience in federal procurement, price and cost analysis, acquisition strategy, proposal development and evaluation, forward pricing, government contractor business system review, and regulatory compliance. Her background includes experience from both government contractor and Government agency perspectives. This gives her a practical understanding of how proposal requirements, pricing expectations, cost realism and reasonableness, negotiation support, and documentation practices affect government contractors throughout the procurement process. Erin assists our clients in understanding the requirements and expectations that shape compliant, defensible pricing and acquisition practices. She draws on her experience supporting complex competitive and sole source procurements, government contractor submissions, business system reviews, corporate policy and procedure development, training programs, and acquisition process improvement.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining Redstone GCI, Erin built her career across both sides of the federal procurement process, holding price and cost analysis roles with an 8(a)-government contractor, the Missile Defense Agency, the Defense Contract Management Agency, and NASA Headquarters. On the contractor side, she directed proposal development, developed competitive pricing strategies, and built multi-year pricing models integrating burdened labor, indirect rates, and other direct costs, managing the full lifecycle from subcontractor financial integration through DCAA audit support and customer negotiations. Her agency-side work spanned pricing authority on competitive and sole-source procurement boards evaluating contracts ranging from $250 million to $6 billion; financial oversight of major government contractors through annual cost-monitoring plans and forward pricing-rate negotiations; and two comprehensive business system audits at the DCMA.

At NASA Headquarters, where she was named Enterprise Price/Cost Analyst of the Year, Erin led more than 30 evaluation boards covering more than $100 billion in total contract award value, advising NASA Center Directors and executive leadership on financial risk, realism and reasonableness, and regulatory compliance. As Functional Lead, she directed a team of analysts and provided mentorship and quality oversight for junior analysts across multiple centers. She also founded NASA’s Enterprise Pricing Academy, led a Process Improvement Team to standardize price and cost evaluation methods agency-wide, and developed corporate policies, standard operating procedures, compliant business systems, and training programs to support the consistent application of complex regulatory requirements. In addition, she served as lead analyst, establishing NASA’s Vendor Management Program, which covered the agency’s top 15 government contractors. Concurrently, Erin served as a contract instructor at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, delivering Excel training to approximately 300 professionals.

She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mississippi State University, a Federal Contracts Management Essentials Certificate from the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and a FAC-C Professional Certification. Her combination of government contractor proposal experience and federal agency evaluation authority assists our clients in developing stronger, more defensible submissions, identifying business system vulnerabilities before they become audit findings, and preparing for DCAA reviews with better documentation, pricing support, and compliance awareness.
