Senior Managing Consultant

Leslie (Les) Broadwater is a Senior Managing Consultant in the Costpoint Consulting group with Redstone Government Consulting, Inc. (Redstone GCI). With more than 19 years of experience, Leslie brings expertise in Deltek Costpoint extensibility, custom application development, ERP system integrations, software architecture, implementation planning, business requirements analysis, and ongoing system support to our government contractor clients. His experience designing and maintaining Costpoint functionality within purchasing, manufacturing, timekeeping, and other connected enterprise systems provides a technical perspective on how system architecture, custom development, and data interfaces affect business processes and ERP performance. Les assists our clients in extending Costpoint functionality, connecting Costpoint with internal and external systems, and translating business requirements into applications, interfaces, and processes that support consistent system operations and repeatable data handling.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining Redstone GCI, Les held senior development roles focused on expanding and integrating Deltek Costpoint functionality. His work included planning Costpoint extensions and external system integrations, developing custom screens and processes, and creating applications, result sets, preprocessors, actions, and interfaces within the existing ERP architecture. He designed a Costpoint outbound event management application, developed a bidirectional interface between Costpoint and an external procurement platform using IBM WebMethods, and created a suite of custom applications that formed a Maintenance, Repair, and Operations module integrated with Costpoint’s purchasing system. Les also used the Costpoint Web Interface Console (WIC) to support data imports and exports and to facilitate communication between Costpoint and external systems.

His background also includes nearly 15 years of leading the development and ongoing support of customized software systems within a manufacturing facility. Les prepared cost-benefit analyses, technical specifications, and implementation plans while maintaining programs, applications, and databases connected to Deltek Costpoint ERP, Kronos Time Collection, IBaseT Solumina MES, PeopleSoft, Workday, and Cincom ERP. His experience includes collaborating with functional users through an Agile, multiphase release process and leading the Costpoint technical effort for an organization transitioning away from the system, a transition that required a repeatable, auditable data export process.

Les holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Frostburg State University. His experience in Costpoint development, enterprise integration, manufacturing systems, and data management assists our clients in evaluating technical requirements and implementing Costpoint functionality that aligns with defined business processes and system objectives.
