Redstone Government Consulting, Inc. desires a full-time Payroll Specialist to assist our clients with payroll operations. Qualified candidate must have 3+ years of payroll experience. Payroll experience in the government contracting industry and/or with Deltek Costpoint is preferred. Successful candidate must be able to perform all payroll processes on behalf of clients. Occasional travel to client location and RGCI home office is required. Position can be performed remotely or in-office. Payroll Specialist will report to our Director of Costpoint Services.
Duties/Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following)
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Work closely with and develop relationships with our small business clients.
- Complete payroll process for multiple clients.
- Analyze, collect, and input client data, employee data, and payroll data to produce accurate and timely payroll.
- Assist with any questions regarding payroll, tax filings, benefits, and payments.
- Process federal, state, and local filings and reports.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
- Prepare reports and proactively analyze gaps in accuracy.
- Suggest solutions to mitigate payroll and/or compliance issues.
- Assist with new client system training and provide technical support to clients.
- Assist with other tasks ask assigned.
Knowledge and Skills
- Tech-savvy and aptitude with computers and software is required.
- General knowledge of payroll processing, tax filings, benefits, etc. is required.
- Experience with payroll software is desired.
