One Chip Challenge 2021
Every month our team’s charity committee comes up with clever ideas centered around a truly important part of our organization: giving back to the community. In this month’s installment, they took it to the next level with the so called, “One Chip Challenge.” If you’re not familiar with the one chip challenge it involves eating a super-hot Carolina reaper and scorpion pepper chip with the goal of lasting 5-minutes. We don’t want to spoil the surprise, but three important charities to our team were represented. Colby was playing for Huntsville Animal Services https://apps.huntsvilleal.gov/HASF/, Simon for Shriner’s Hospital for Children https://www.shrinerschildrens.org/ and Jonathan for Kids to Love Kids To Love http://www.kidstolove.org/. First place would be donating $1,000, second place $750 and third place $500 to their charity. Stay tuned to see how it turned out!
About Huntsville Animal Services Foundation
Each year, Huntsville Animal Services saves thousands of homeless pets in the Huntsville area by providing temporary shelter, food and veterinary care to animals in need. The work of Huntsville Animal Services also includes preventative steps to reduce pet overpopulation through facilitation and connection to spay and neuter assistance programs. Now, it’s easier than ever to support these efforts through the Huntsville Animal Services Foundation. Donations are used to care for shelter pets, foster pets, and animals in need. All financial donations go into the Care for Shelter Pets fund.
