Bonnie Walker

Instructional Designer and LMS Developer

Professional Experience

Bonnie began her career as an insurance auditor servicing several different insurance companies for the purpose of monitoring companies’ worker’s comp and general liability policies. She then worked for a CPA firm for over 10 years as an office administrator, bookkeeper, and payroll specialist. Bonnie’s experience also includes brief stints working in real estate as a realtor as well as a title assistant for a real estate attorney where she supported the title abstractor in researching titles and deed chains on residential properties, completing title requests, and preparing title searches before sending them to closing. Bonnie also worked as a teacher during which time, she taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in a multitude of classes to include English Language Arts, Creative Writing, Public Speaking, Digital Publishing Tools, and Career Prep courses. For each course, she developed a specific curriculum and devised and prepared appropriate learning targets, lesson plans, activities, and assessments to include differentiated instructional strategies to meet the individual needs of her students. It was during her time as a teacher that Bonnie developed a greater interest in curriculum design. She then began to envision how that experience and passion in conjunction with the many skills gained from all her previous work experience could be valuable in the learning and development sector and ultimately decided on pursuing a career in instructional design.
