Laura Oliveria is a Costpoint Consultant in the Costpoint Consulting group with Redstone Government Consulting, Inc. (Redstone GCI). She brings more than three years of experience in Costpoint implementation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end processing, billing, revenue calculations, cost pool processing, financial reporting, project financial analysis, indirect rate development, and earned value analysis. Her experience combining Costpoint data management with accounting, program controls, and financial analysis provides an operational perspective on how system data and transaction processing affect billing, revenue, indirect costs, project reporting, and financial statements. Laura assists our clients in maintaining accurate Costpoint data and completing accounting and project control processes that support billing, revenue calculations, indirect rate calculations, and financial reporting.

Professional Experience

Prior to joining Redstone GCI, Laura served as a Financial Analyst, where she gathered data and coordinated with Redstone GCI consultants during a Costpoint implementation. Her responsibilities included supporting accounts payable voucher entry and cash disbursements, accounts receivable bank reconciliations and cash receipts, and month-end procedures involving billing, revenue calculations, and cost pool processing. She also prepared financial statements for parent company executives and developed custom business intelligence reports for internal users.

Earlier in her career, Laura held enterprise finance and program analysis responsibilities for a government contractor. She maintained contract award, billing, revenue, project, workforce, subcontract, material receipt, and inventory data in Costpoint and analyzed revenue, profit margins, accruals, and work-in-process information for monthly financial reporting. Her experience included reviewing indirect base and pool costs to calculate overhead and general and administrative rates, assisting with the development of a Budget Maestro database for pro forma statements and indirect budget tracking, and preparing incurred-to-date cost and estimate-to-complete reports. Laura also entered actual costs and projections into Deltek Cobra and analyzed program data using earned value techniques. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Vanderbilt University. Her combined experience with Costpoint implementation, accounting processes, indirect costs, program controls, and financial reporting assists our clients in connecting system data with the billing, project reporting, indirect cost, and financial information used in government contract operations.
