
Matelyn Ellis
HR Administrator
Matelyn Ellis is an HR Administrator supporting Redstone GCI’s internal Human Resources operations. In this role, she plays a key part in maintaining the company’s internal HR infrastructure, providing support to employees, and fostering a positive and engaging work environment. Matelyn brings a service-focused mindset and strong organizational skills drawn from her background in customer service, hospitality, and nonprofit coordination. Her experience across a variety of people-centric roles and her multidisciplinary academic background allows her to support HR initiatives that reflect Redstone GCI’s culture and values.
Professional Experience
Before joining Redstone GCI, Matelyn worked in the hospitality industry, where she honed her ability to communicate effectively, remain composed under pressure, and prioritize safety and professionalism in a fast-paced environment. She also brings strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a thoughtful approach to resolving challenges and supporting employee needs.
In addition to her professional experience, Matelyn was deeply involved in campus leadership and nonprofit volunteer efforts. Her involvement with student outreach councils and national honor societies reflects her initiative, leadership, and commitment to community engagement.
Matelyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Environmental Sciences with a minor in Psychology from The University of Alabama. During her time at The University of Alabama, she completed a study abroad program focused on public policy and family well-being in Sweden and The Netherlands, further broadening her global and cultural perspective—something she brings to her work at Redstone GCI.
