Overview
This interactive and hands-on workshop will introduce attendees to the essential skills needed to build custom reports in Deltek Costpoint. Designed for users seeking to master the fundamentals of report creation within the Reports & Analytics module, this session will guide participants through security setup, data selection, query building, and report customization. Whether you’re new to Costpoint’s Business Intelligence tool or looking to strengthen your reporting skills, this course will equip you with the knowledge to confidently develop and refine reports tailored to your organization’s needs.
Learning Objectives
At the completion of this 3-hour workshop, participants will be able to:
- Understand the security setup and settings associated with the Reports & Analytics area.
- Select and use pre-configured Business Intelligence packages and tables
- Create and join basic queries within the Business Intelligence tool
- Include basic filters and prompting on reports
- Apply basic formatting, grouping and summaries to reports
Program Content
During the workshop, your instructors will discuss the following:
- The importance of the security setup and settings with the Reports & Analytics area.
- The configuration of the pre-defined packages and tables available within the Business Intelligence tool.
- A step-by-step process for creating and verifying basic queries and reports within the Business Intelligence tool.
- Create calculations, filters and prompts within queries and reports.
- Produce and schedule reports with basic formatting, grouping and summaries.
