With more than twenty years of legal experience, focused mainly on federal procurement law and the contracts area, Kelli expands Redstone GCI’s ability to assist with contracts and subcontracts while also providing guidance on procurement law-related services.
Kelli will assist Redstone GCI clients with contract and subcontract writing, negotiation, and management; compliance with regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulations, Defense Federal Regulation Supplement, and small business regulations; joint ventures; novations; teaming agreements; establishing procurement policies and procedures; and developing sound procurement practices that address clients’ operational needs. “Kelli brings a valuable combination of federal acquisition law, agency leadership, and government contractor consulting experience to Redstone GCI. Her understanding of how acquisition decisions, procurement requirements, and legal considerations affect contract formation and performance will strengthen our Compliance Consulting Group and expand the support we provide to our clients in addressing complex federal contracting requirements,” said Courtney Edmonson, CEO of Redstone Government Consulting, Inc.
Before rejoining Redstone GCI, Kelli served as Associate General Counsel for a Huntsville-based company. Prior to that, she served as Deputy General Counsel for Acquisition at the Missile Defense Agency as well as Associate General Counsel at the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Army Contracting Command Headquarters. Kelli also previously served as a Senior Legal Consultant with Redstone GCI, where she assisted government contractors with contracts and regulatory compliance.
Kelli earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law and her Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Alabama. Her combined legal, agency, and government contractor experience will assist Redstone GCI clients with meeting their corporate and compliance needs as an advisor or an outsourced asset.
About Redstone Government Consulting, Inc.
Redstone GCI is a consulting firm focused on fulfilling the needs of government contractors in all areas of compliance. With a singular mission to help contractors through the multiple layers of “red tape,” we allow contractors to focus on what they do best – support their mission with the U.S. Government. We are home to a group of consultants made up of GovCon industry professionals, CPAs, attorneys, and retired government audit and acquisition professionals. From humble beginnings, as a small group of core individuals with a goal of providing DCAA/DCMA compliance and audit support, we have grown to a firm of over 30 professionals, with expertise extending well beyond our initial goal, now supporting compliance needs in most areas of a contractor’s back office. One thing our clients can be certain of is that with the Redstone GCI Team in your corner, there is no problem too big and no issue too technical for our team to tackle.
