Since 1911, Children’s of Alabama has provided specialized medical care for ill and injured children. Ranked among the best pediatric medical centers in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, Children’s provided care for youngsters from every county in Alabama, 42 other states and seven foreign countries last year, representing more than 677,000 outpatient visits and more than 15,000 inpatient admissions.
Second Mile desires to empower the community where the hopeless can find hope; where children can find love and laughter, where young men and women can look to the future with pride and eager anticipation rather than with fear and dread; where men and women of all ages can discover the depth and the breadth of Christ’s love.
The TEARS Foundation seeks to compassionately lift a financial burden from families who have lost a child by providing funds to assist with the cost of burial or cremation services. We also offer parents comprehensive bereavement care in the form of grief support groups and peer companions.
MIRA Foundation USA, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, EIN 26-3603779, established to provide guide dogs for eligible blind children between the ages of 11 and 16, completely free of charge. MIRA is the first organization in the US that provides guide dogs to children under the age of 16.
Rocket Chef is based on popular and contemporary food television challenges, and will showcase local chefs from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences.
The No Stomach For Cancer Mission is to support research and unite the caring power of people worldwide affected by stomach cancer.
The first-ever CFD Research Corporation Golf Classic benefiting the Liz Hurley Breast Cancer Fund was a great success, raising over $18,000 for life-saving breast cancer awareness and screening technology for North Alabama women. We were proud to have been a part of it.
The 2018 Liz Hurley Ribbon Run features a 5K run and a Survivors’ Walk. The 5K course will take runners through beautiful downtown Huntsville, including the Twickenham and Old Town Historic Districts.
Our national charity this year is FCA or the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Many of our employee’s children participate in FCA within the public school systems.
